Vanu,® Inc. provides innovative wireless infrastructure solutions to enable operators to access new markets and new revenue streams. The company grew out of groundbreaking research in software radio at MIT.  Vanu’s software RAN solutions are developed through the use of Software Defined Radio (SDR). 

Compared to traditional hardware-oriented approaches, a true SDR base station is modular and enables a high degree of software portability and reuse.  Vanu further differentiates its SDR solutions by building systems that run on general-purpose platforms.  This strategy enables the use of advanced technologies such as virtualization, and allows operators to take advantage of the multitude of existing solutions for management, network integration and system security.
