Software Engineer-Bangalore, India
Vanu India Pvt Ltd. is currently seeking software engineers with experience in designing large-scale
wireless RAN solutions utilizing, C++ programming language on a Linux operating system. You will be working
on challenging software engineering problems involving multi-threaded, networking protocols, waveform
development, state machines and signal processing.
Responsibilities:
- Work on project assignments and software development activities that extend throughout the total product life cycle, which includes analysis, architecture, design, programming, testing, maintenance, enhancement and debugging
- Work with software development managers, customer application engineers, software development and hardware engineers
- May conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics or a closely related field
- Hands on Object Oriented Design and strong programming skills in C++
- 3 to 6 years experience in software development
- Software development in wireless technologies e.g. GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G/CDMA etc
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and able to communicate well with co-workers and vendors
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to comprehensively read telecom specifications and extract the key development components and determine relevant use cases and design approach
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong debugging skills and ability to work closely with support engineers to solve customer issues quickly
Pluses:
- Knowledge of Perl, Python, or other scripting languages
- Software development on Linux
- Experience on Agile Development Methodology
- Familiarity with Open Source Software
- Network programming and/or developing large software systems
- Multi-threaded programming, basic understanding of x86 architecture, compilers and Linux kernel
